CAD & Engineering Design

4-Cylinder Engine Assembly

Costech Computers Ltd · Mechanical Design Intern · April 2025 – August 2025 · Autodesk Inventor
Major components of the design

What?

Develop the 4-cylinder internal-combustion engine assembly for a Hybrid Electric Vehicle concept as part of a 4-member engineering team.

Parts individually designed by me, including the crankshaft, piston, piston pin, caps and rings of a 4-cylinder engine.

How?

  • Modelled individual engine components from scratch in Autodesk Inventor.
  • Designed the crankshaft, connecting rods, piston pins/rings, oil pump and oil gallery.
  • Assembled the components into the 4-cylinder engine.
  • Checked fit, interference and alignment between components.
  • Coordinated with the other 3 team members to make the engine components integrate correctly.
  • Incorporated feedback and revised CAD designs where necessary.
  • Prepared and presented the completed assembly to engineers, instructors and management.
Complete assembly of major engine parts and components

Results

Completed an integrated 4-cylinder engine CAD assembly as the mechanical subsystem for the team's Hybrid Electric Vehicle project and presented the final design to engineering reviewers and management.

AI Powered Bionic Arm

RAIN-INN RSU · Autodesk Inventor · Lower-cost bionic prosthetics for amputees
CAD model of the bionic arm palm-to-finger assembly

What?

Explore a lower-cost approach to bionic prosthetics by designing a 3D-printable hand assembly and developing a concept for EMG-based control.

How?

Designed the palm-to-finger assembly in Autodesk Inventor and developed the proposed control architecture using EMG sensors + ESP32, with AI intended to translate muscle activity into corresponding prosthetic movement.

Results

Produced the mechanical CAD design and 3D-printed the palm, with initial wiring completed. The project did not progress to motion testing or implementation of the planned AI control system.

Automotive/Mechanical Systems Apprenticeship

Mechanical Apprentice · August 2025 – November 2025 · August 2026 – Present · Port-Harcourt, Nigeria

What?

Gain hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems through routine vehicle maintenance and engine repair across 20+ vehicles.

Me replacing the camber of an old-model Toyota

How?

  • Supported engine repairs by dismantling and reassembling engine components under mechanic supervision.
  • Replaced faulty pistons, piston rings, spark plugs and timing belts/chains.
  • Independently performed routine maintenance including brake-pad and brake-disc replacement, tire changes, fan-belt replacement, spark-plug replacement and oil changes.
  • Assisted with more complex engine work, including component removal and reassembly on an older-model Peugeot.
  • Used standard mechanical hand tools for disassembly, replacement and reassembly.

Results

Supported the repair and return-to-service of 20+ vehicles, while independently completing routine maintenance tasks and gaining practical experience with engine systems, braking systems and vehicle components.

Founder/Product Lead · June 2026 – Present
Screenshots from the NoteNest App

What?

Built an AI-powered study platform that transforms handwritten notes and uploaded learning materials into structured study resources for university students.

Marketing onboarding and brand alignment documentation.

How?

Led a 5-member cross-functional team, coordinating engineering, marketing and media; managed tasks, deadlines and documentation across 9 team members using Microsoft Office, while personally developing the AI backend pipeline.

NoteNest Launch on Tech Expo Stage 2026

Results

Delivered an MVP tested by 30 founding users and launched at the Port Harcourt Tech Expo Hackathon 2026 despite having recovered a potential launch delay by deploying a website-based download pathway after Google Play approval was delayed.

Others

NoteNest won PH Tech Expo Hackathon

TECHNICAL PROGRAM EXECUTION

Institutional Lead · April 2025 – April 2026 · Port-Harcourt, Nigeria
